Sustainability Built Into Every PECO Pallet
ENVIRONMENTAL
PECO Pallet has set an ambitious goal of achieving Net Zero emissions across Scopes 1, 2, and 3 by 2050, using 2023 as the baseline year. To reach this target, the company is implementing strategic carbon reduction initiatives throughout its operations. Each year, PECO partners with independent experts to verify its greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory, ensuring transparency and providing a clear view of progress and impact.
An independent Lifecycle Analysis (LCA) showed that switching from whitewood to PECO pallets can reduce emissions by 88% — or about 8.2 times less greenhouse gas emissions. This Lifecycle Analysis supports PECO’s mission to provide lower-carbon solutions across the logistics industry—and reveals the environmental benefits of using a highly durable and repairable pallet.
PECO’s lumber suppliers and pallet manufacturing partners must be certified by SFI (Sustainable Forestry Initiative) or FSC (Forest Stewardship Council). Quality is monitored by Timber Products Inspection.
