What is pallet pooling?

PECO Pallet maintains a large nationwide "pool" of high-quality wood pallets. PECO rents pallets to manufacturers, who ship their product to distributors and retailers throughout PECO's extensive service network. Empty pallets are picked up and returned to an authorized depot, where they are inspected, cleaned, and repaired before being reissued. This pallet pooling system is efficient, cost-effective, and environmentally sustainable.

Built-In Quality

We start by manufacturing top quality pallets. We use only high-quality #2 grade Douglas Fir and Southern Yellow Pine lumber that is 100% sustainably forested in the United States. Pallets are kiln-dried to prevent infestation, mold, and moisture. No chemical treatments or hazardous materials are ever used on PECO pallets. All of our pallets are built to industry standard dimensions (48" x 40") and assembled according to strict quality guidelines. Pallets are painted bold red and marked with PECO's logo to make them easy to identify.

Block Pallets: The Better Choice

PECO's block pallets are far superior to conventional stringer pallets. They are much stronger and more durable, designed to hold up to 2800-pound loads (edge-rackable). Block pallets also have better top deck coverage and are safer to use in overhead racks. And because they are built to consistent, accurate dimensions, PECO pallets are ideal for use in today's fast-moving automated production lines.

Ongoing Maintenance and Repair

PECO maintains its outstanding reputation for quality by rigorously inspecting every pallet that is returned to the depot. Each one is checked, sorted, cleaned, and repaired to PECO's exacting standards…not to some arbitrary damage rate or cost level. This means our customers can count on PECO to consistently deliver top quality pallets in excellent condition, without splintered boards or protruding nails.
